00:01:10.720engine used by PT is able to cleverly
00:01:13.480link together separate map files to
00:01:15.460create the illusion of an endless loop
00:01:17.820by changing the code involved in this
00:01:20.530process I was able to seamlessly connect
00:01:22.870Petey's familiar starting room to the
00:01:25.090map file used for the ending cinematic
00:01:29.850unfortunately this area is not meant to
00:01:31.870be traversed by the player character and
00:01:33.729thus it has no collision information and
00:01:35.830we immediately fall through the ground
00:01:37.300interestingly this causes Lisa to appear
00:01:40.210and reset the game
00:01:41.770I find it fairly amazing that the
00:01:49.840developers actually accounted for us
00:01:51.670finding a way to break out of bounds and
00:01:54.009created an event to handle it in such a
00:01:56.200way rather than just having us fall
00:01:58.150endlessly so in order to circumvent this
00:02:02.470I patched the game in a way that causes
00:02:04.300the player character to float just a
00:02:06.430small distance above the ground at all
00:02:08.320times with this done we can safely for
00:02:13.209the first time ever explore the streets
00:02:15.489of Silent Hill as they appear in PT
00:02:24.910one of the first things we come across
00:02:26.260here is the trail which we also saw the
00:02:28.930protagonist following in the cinematic
00:02:48.260this ends in a small puddle and the main
00:02:50.780open streets stretch out ahead of us to
00:02:56.750the left is a fairly detailed area
00:02:58.519outside of a massive apartment building

00:10:49.170no way to be sure what the future holds
00:10:50.790this may be the final canonical
00:10:53.040rendition of Silent Hill ever to exist
