00:00:38.879though we haven't been able to beat all

00:00:41.040three games there is a lot of game here

00:01:36.640just use the default shepard's male or

00:01:39.200still look the coolest i just like

00:01:41.439making a mediocre version of myself for

00:01:43.360these games

00:01:44.159but the biggest wow factor here would

00:01:46.799probably be mass effect 1

00:01:48.560visually it's the oldest and it's always

00:01:51.360been rough

00:01:52.240so it's seen the most improvement here

00:01:54.960uh first on the visual front

00:01:56.880you can tell pretty much right away

00:01:59.119especially when you're plopped onto eden

00:02:55.280hits mass effect 1 the hardest and

00:02:57.280it's nice to see uh they've also kind of

00:02:59.760made some environments like novaria

00:03:01.760station and then the citadel

00:03:03.440feel slightly more alive with little

00:03:05.599tweaks and additions

00:03:07.120mass effect 1 remake is where the

00:03:09.200hardcore fans might take the most issue

00:03:11.120with some visual stuff

00:03:12.720the game is much more vibrant and it

00:03:14.879kind of helps make all three games feel

00:03:16.800a bit more unified in terms of color

00:03:18.640palette but

00:03:19.440it results in one being way more

00:03:21.680colorful in some areas than you might

00:03:23.360expect

00:03:24.000or some areas just having a completely

00:03:26.560different

00:03:27.120vibe because the sky box looks different

00:03:29.440or say the atmospheric effects and

00:03:31.040colors make the world

00:03:32.959feel different than it initially did it

00:03:39.280you know it's worth pointing out if you

00:03:41.920are a hardcore fan that like

00:03:43.760annually replays mass effect 1. it's

00:03:46.879another thing that's only an issue in

00:03:48.720mass effect 1 is that while

00:03:50.640many faces look improved and genuinely

00:03:53.680pretty great

00:03:54.720some look a little more creepy than they

00:03:57.680ever

00:03:58.080originally did udina looks really weird

00:04:00.959he actually looks

00:04:02.000more punchable that's probably because

00:04:04.319of the way the new lighting is cast on

00:04:06.319his face but

00:04:07.920and then uh captain anderson has weird

00:04:11.200bug eyes and it's hilarious it always

00:04:13.360looks like he's freaking out his eyes

00:04:14.799are bulging out of his head

00:04:16.079this doesn't carry over to the other

00:04:17.280games but it's it's worth pointing out

00:04:18.959here for mass effect 1. and also on the

00:04:20.799gameplay front a few things have been

00:04:22.240improved

00:04:22.800you can choose how you play you know

00:04:24.720with the traditional leveling speed and

00:04:26.800level cap

00:04:27.520or the rebounced legendary mode weapon

00:04:31.199use is no longer gated depending on what

00:04:33.759you're playing as so

00:04:36.960prioritize your leveling

00:04:38.479how you see fit they've adjusted the

00:04:40.320camera angle a bit like how far it is

00:04:42.880all of the combat is a bit more

00:04:44.960responsive

00:04:46.000bioware claims that the cover has been

00:04:48.160adjusted a bit and the ai is improved

00:04:50.479i didn't notice any of that it does

00:04:52.160still seem pretty damn rough

00:04:54.320same with the shooting now the feel is

00:04:57.360slightly better and some things like

00:04:59.040the camera depth uh when you ads and

00:05:01.280when you ads from cover

00:05:03.039is much better the game still feels old

00:05:06.000and a bit messy here

00:05:07.280it's it's not like they took mass effect

00:05:08.8002 or mass effect 3 combat and just

00:05:10.720slapped it into mass effect 1.

00:05:12.320don't expect that that is something that

00:05:13.919they probably couldn't do

00:05:16.880probably messing everything up so

00:05:18.639they did the best they could with the

00:05:20.320combat they had and

00:05:22.160although i can say it is improved i

00:05:24.800can't say it's like a game changer

00:05:28.639it's gotten a little bit of polish

00:05:46.639sections so that's where i'm coming from

00:06:31.680it's nice to have it all here easily

00:06:36.880we've admittedly spent the least amount

00:06:39.360but within the first few hours it still

00:06:42.880it is the freshest but now it's super

00:06:44.960sharp and it has a way more kick-ass

00:06:48.080settings like subtitles and stuff can

00:06:50.080carry across all three games it's worth

00:06:53.280options like the graphical options are

00:06:56.960although we tested the xbox version some

00:06:59.599friends of ours have pointed out that

00:07:02.240leave a little bit to be desired uh

00:07:52.879i think this is a nice package a good

00:07:55.759high quality way to experience a really

00:07:58.800truly great sci-fi trilogy they each

00:08:09.759identity of the bioware rpgs that came

00:08:13.520embraces the hardcore rpg elements while

00:08:30.240the endings they're all worth

00:08:31.840experiencing for like completely

00:08:33.519different reasons but the whole series

00:08:35.919the characters and the world they built

00:08:38.159in all the games are top class

00:08:40.240second to none to go on this space

00:08:42.640adventure and choose to be

00:08:44.240a hero or like a rude badass or a

00:08:46.959ruthless killer

00:08:48.000making massive decisions along the way

00:08:50.080that are actually like

00:08:51.200hard choices that may affect the world

00:08:54.320or some of the characters in your party

00:08:56.080to the point where you may never see

00:08:57.360them again or you could just have sex

00:09:00.959pot and you get games that are uniquely

00:09:03.279special and i i'm glad they're preserved
